I entered a photo contest recently. The theme was “Architectutral Photography”. I didn’t win. I didn’t really expect to but it would have been nice as the top prize was a two-light Siros outdoor set (rechargeable and cordless) from Broncolor worth about $3500 USD. However, it did sort of inspire me to dig through my trove of images and see what else I could find that fit the category.
Though I don’t really classify myself as an architectural photographer, it turns out I have quite a number of images of buildings and their associated details. I certainly appreciate a nicely designed building, whether it’s something aged or contemporary. The images here are only from Europe as the Asian aesthetic is wholly different and probably warrants its own post in the future (maybe).
