Back from Vancouver バンクーバから戻りました

August 5, 2007

Hot, hot, hot. That’s basically the weather report for Hong Kong since I returned from Vancouver the other day.

Vancouver weather on the other hand was great. Well, at least the second week of my trip was great, the first week was rainy and miserable but I’m conveniently not remembering that part. There are few places as nice as Vancouver in the summer. Lots to do and temperatures don’t often get too hot. Check out the pictures if you don’t believe me.

The trip was relaxing and not overly exciting. Spent lots of time with family and friends, saw a few movies and went back to the restaurants I love and tried a few new ones. Sadly, as with all vacations time limits and conflicting schedules put a kink in my seeing more people. As always, ‘next time’.

The one great thing about teaching is that I do have a lot of holiday time in a year. So, aside from plans to explore Hong Kong a little more in depth, I’ve decided to go to Cambodia for a week. Everyone I talk to has said that it’s an amazing trip. I have one friend in fact who enjoyed her trip so much that she vows she can never go back since it will never be the same. That’s quite a recommendation.
