Miscellaneous bits

So that’s what Hong Kong island looks like?! We had an amazing run of clear skies here last week. Not as thrilling are the high temperatures (over 34°C the day the picture was taken) that have come along with the blue.

Hong Kong Island

We had the school sports day on May 30th. Good fun had by all. The last race of the day was a 4 x 100 relay of students vs. parents vs. teachers. I ran the second leg for the teacher’s team. The week leading up to the day, I had all the pressure put on my shoulders. Apparently, everyone had forgotten that there were going to be 3 other people on the team. Well, we gave it a good fight but came in third out of 5 teams. Not bad considering that I managed to pull the team from last place to second on the second leg of the race. Next year for sure!

Run!!

Italy has several things going for it: elegant fashion, full-bodied wine, stunning women and, last but certainly not least, gorgeous automobiles. Alpha Romeo, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. Right now, there are fine examples of all these marques at a display for an “Italian festival” at one of the local shopping centres. I’d say I’d give my left arm to drive a Ferrari one day but then shifting gears would be a bit of a problem. May have to think of a different body part to donate to the cause.

Heaven!Not badMmmm…

Aren’t these kids in, like, Grade 3 or something? Were the other three members of your team corpses?
